Aol trojan
This trojan is a real hard one to remove and the removal process should only be attempted by some one with above average computer knowledge .
Removal :
The first part of this removal is all in dos mode , so reboot your computer into ms dos mode and type the following on the command line
After each gap hit enter .
cd ..
attrib command.exe -h
del command.exe
cd americ~1.0
attrib buddyl~1.exe -h
del buddyl~1.exe
cd ..
cd windows\system\norton~1
attrib regist~1.exe -h
del regist~1.exe
Exit
Windows will now boot up ,, so the following instructions are in windows :
You should see a number of errors that files are now missing. This is OK. Simply click ok to dismiss them.
Next, double click on your C:\windows\win.ini file.
This should open it in a text editor.
There should be two lines towards the top that begin with 'run=' and 'load='.
Each line will have the path to one of the trojans files. You will need to remove the path so the lines read:
load=
run=
Last, open regedit. You can do this by clicking Start, and choosing Run. In the box type regedit and click OK.
In the left hand panel of regedit, you will need to click on the + boxes to open folders.
Open the folders in the path below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
You should see an item that reads
WinProfile = c:\command.exe
Right click on WinProfile and choose Delete.
Close regedit and restart your PC.
And that's it ,, it has all been removed .
